Biobased products are defined as commercial or industrial
products that have been determined by the United States
Secretary of Agriculture to be composed in whole, or a significant
part, by either biological materials, renewable domestic
agricultural materials, or forestry materials (as defined by Farm
Security and Rural Investment Act, FSRIA). Biobased products
are made from renewable resources. A continuing effort is being
placed on using biobased products to steer this country away
from its dependence on petroleum based products. Biobased
products are also good for American farmers because it creates
a demand for Agricultural products produced in this country. The
